Explore your curious side at The Leonardo

Blog entry by Danielle Follett Chard, The Leonardo's marketing specialist.

"Curiosity is the very basis of education and if you tell me that curiosity killed the cat, I say only the cat died nobly." --Arnold Edinborough
The Leonardo offer the curious new perspectives -- and nowhere is this more important than in education, which is at the heart of our mission and vision. We pride ourselves in our Leo on Wheels team that brought sci+tech+art to 9,670 students last year, and, once our doors open, we're excited to offer students and teachers a chance to learn inside the museum. By combining our exhibits, current issues, and igniting the spark of curiosity, we hope to create an environment that will introduce students to new ideas and encourage them to imagine and create new possibilities.

Field trips will foster curiosity, creativity, and innovation as they encourage students to examine current issues from a variety of perspectives and find solutions to current and future problems. The education team will work with students so issues are presented in relevant and exciting ways that create a spark of curiosity. This curiosity and desire to learn gives students the motive to learn, while the museum and exhibits give them the tools to investigate further. You can learn more about our field trips here.

But the museum, of course, isn't just for kids on field trips-- anyone coming to the museum will be able to have a new experience and be introduced to new things. Whether its by learning about biofuels and potential careers or taking a class from an artist and learning you have a knack for comic book art, everyone who comes to The Leo will be able to explore their curious side.
