Big news on the Beesley front

Thursday, March 31, 2011

Blog entry by Danielle Follett Chard, The Leonardo's intern.

Are you sitting right now? You should be sitting, because this is BIG news.

As I'm sure you know, The Leonardo is bringing Phillip Beesley's internationally known and award-winning piece Hylozoic Ground to The Leonardo. What you may not know (and should be ecstatic to learn) is that The Leo is now accepting applications for a team of volunteers that will work side-by-side with Beesley and his team to install the piece. I'm sure I don't need to tell you this is an unbelievably exciting opportunity. The volunteers will be able to work with an internationally recognized artist/architect and get hands-on experience installing and assembling Beesley's piece.

We're looking for dedicated and ambitious people with backgrounds in architecture, engineering, design, or art. If this sounds like something you'd like to be involved in, click here for the application and tell us why you want to participate and the details of your experience. The installation period is June 14-July 1, so clear your calendars if you need because this is not something you want to miss!
